Grants Manager

Position Summary:
The Grant Manager is responsible for proactively managing MultiCares Federal grants and contracts portfolio to mitigate regulatory and financial risk, and to assure compliance. The Grant Manager advises MultiCare researchers and project leads, assisting with the development and submission of proposals, management of all financial accounts, and representing MultiCare in communication with Federal and other extramural sponsors. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact and advisor for sponsored research and projects; interprets and applies terms and conditions of agreements; conducts financial analyses to effect decision making; leverages funds; executes effective pre- and post-award management and articulates adherence to departmental, sponsor, and Institute rules, regulations, policies and procedures. The Manager works closely with the Institutes leadership, Principal Investigators, project team leads and program staff during application development and submission, throughout the duration of the project and award period through award closeout.
Minimum Requirements:
Four (4) years of experience in Federal award management (preferably research grants with NIH, NSF, AHRQ or HRSA)
Federal grant post-award and financial management experience preferred
Experience in healthcare setting preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelors degree or four years of equivalent work experience managing and/or developing Federal grant applications
