Position Summary:The Administrator for Covington Hospital is administratively responsible and accountable for the planning and direction of clinical, financial, and operational activities that will ensure the high quality and cost effective care delivery services and programs at assigned business unit.  The incumbent interprets and develops patient care standards, provisions of quality health services, resource allocation, and fiscal management.  The incumbent is responsible for gross revenue, expenses, and FTE’s as related to the size and complexity of assigned business unit.  In addition to these accountabilities, the incumbent is responsible for coordination and successful execution of all aspects of operations related to the delivery of patient care and support functions of Covington Hospital as it progresses through construction, start-up of patient care and ramp-up of planned programs. As a member of the senior executive team of the business unit, the incumbent works closely with the President and Market Leader, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nurse Executive, Finance Officer, and senior leaders in a team-oriented approach to planning and operational oversight.


Internal contacts require establishing and maintaining a rapport and professional working relationship with all levels of staff, physicians, management, administration and other service providers throughout the health system.  This position requires extensive external contact with consultants, vendors, national, state, local community and agency organizations, educational organizations, physicians, colleagues, elected officials and specialty groups to build relationships and connections for network development and constituency management.

Minimum Requirements:Ten (10) years recent administrative experience in a health care delivery system

Education/Licenses/Certifications:Masters degree in related field
If a licensed practitioner, current license in the State of Washington
