Position Summary:
The Attorney is responsible for assisting MultiCare’s Legal Services department in: 1) providing strategic and transactional counsel to corporate/clinical leadership, and the administrative team; 2) advising on regulatory issues (HIPAA, reimbursement, Fraud and Abuse, Stark and Anti-kickback); and 3) participating as a legal team member in managing risk.   The attorney works on a wide range of transactions, including commercial and corporate matters and helps negotiate agreements with institutional customers, vendors and other strategic partners.

Minimum Requirements:
Four (4) years of experience working as an in-house attorney for a health care organization or a law firm environment representing healthcare clients on  business transactions and/or regulatory legal matters associated with any of the following: behavioral health, information security/technology, payer contracting /health plans, clinical research, or physician-hospital arrangements in acute and ambulatory care settings is required
Attorneys with significant transactional experience (including experience in real estate matters) in non-healthcare industries may be considered

Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.
