Position Summary:
This Cardiovascular Tech, CVT, is a team member working under the direction of the Program Manager in the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well being of the patient and family.  The technologist is responsible for providing technical support during a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. Assists the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab Registered Nurses in providing patient care as needed; Performs required cath lab specific documentation assuring that it is reflective of patient needs, and actions taken; Assembles, disassembles, and operates specialty equipment; Selects proper radiological technical factors according to procedure and patient needs; Assists physicians in administering contrast media; Assists in the development of technical factors and quality control of radiological techniques.

Minimum Requirements:
Previous CVT experience.

Graduate from an approved Radiology or Cardiovascular Training Program, current Washington State Radiological Technologist licensure from an approved AMA school or Cardiovascular Technologist from an accredited Cardiovascular Training Program, registry eligible, and willingness/Ability to gain ACLS designation as outlined in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Standards of Practice Manual.
