Position Summary: Works with the Emergency Department to effectuate the process of assessment for medical necessity and appropriateness of admissions while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and providing cost efficient quality patient care. Gathers information and uses approved resources, while collaborating with the Emergency Department staff and providers to assist in determining admission status. Organizes information from the patient, family and referring care facilities to assess and initiate a discharge plan. Communicates with the inpatient Case Management Team initial findings.

Minimum Requirements: Three years pertinent clinical experience in an acute care setting.

Education/Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nursing License, State of Washington. Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing.
