Position Summary:
Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Practitioner that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family through the appropriate utilization of the nursing process, equipment, technology and skills.  Provide care in a manner that is appropriate to the developmental status of the patient.  Responsible for providing age-specific direct and indirect care under the direction of the Practitioner or RN.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience as an L.P.N. within an out-patient or acute care facility preferred  IV & Phlebotomy skills preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current WA LPN license.
Urgent Care Clinics:  ACLS required within 6 months of hire
Child Express Clinics:  PALS required within 6 months of hire

OR

Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of patients and completing or assisting with front office duties. This position is a vital part of the office team that cares for patients in the clinic setting working under the direction of a physician.  This position works closely with the physicians, other clinical staff, and front office staff.  Work situations are a variety of clinical functions within a clinic setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude.  Acting as the patient advocate the Medical Assistant has continuous contact with physicians, patients, patient families/ significant others, community agencies, and MHS patient care staff and management.

Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year experience in physician's office or other medical facility preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) Certification
