Position Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Coach is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team responsible for improving the care delivered to patients, their families and communities for the unit/ specialty assigned. The incumbent applies national clinical standards supported by evidence-based practice guidelines to ensure optimal patient care, and promote a culture of patient safety.  The incumbent serves as a clinical expert, patient safety advocate, educator, and consultant. The Clinical Nurse Coach is an expert resource regarding the standard of care, current practice standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies/procedures pertaining to the unit patient care needs.  The Clinical Nurse Coach maintains knowledge of national benchmarks and broad based quality initiatives relevant to the assigned hospital and patient population.

Minimum Requirements:
Five (5) years of clinical experience for unit assigned

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Master’s degree preferred
Current Washington State RN License
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification

Medical, Surgical or Med/Surg Specialty certification required.
