The Crisis Assessment Specialist provides triage, crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization services and referral to community resources for un-enrolled adults referred for a Next Day Appointment through Crisis Connections, DCR’s and ER’s. The Crisis Specialist also conducts clinical intake assessments into agency services.

Possess the knowledge, values, attitude and skills to create a trauma-informed, safe, trusting, healing environment that respects the perspectives and experiences of the individuals, families, staff and communities we serve with safety and healing.

Education and/or Experience:
Master’s degree in related field and MHP required. Minimum of one year’s experience providing crisis services to acutely and chronically mentally ill adults. Demonstrated DSM diagnosis and accurate assessment skills including mental status exams, lethality and level of functioning. Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications and ability to assess need for emergency medication.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Full License preferred; Associate License or Agency-Affiliated License accepted
