This is a professionally skilled position in the Crisis Services department within Behavioral Health. An employee in this classification performs crisis intervention, stabilization and diversion services as a member of the Crisis Outreach Team. Employees in this classification will work with mental health consumers as well as their natural and professional support systems to deal with their crisis in the community rather than in a hospital setting. Work is performed to provide 24/7 coverage. Work assignments are performed according to department policies, procedures, and established state and federal guidelines. Work will be evaluated by effectiveness in developing and implementing interventions with the goal of reducing hospitalizations, as well as in the effectiveness in linking consumers with on-going mental support services when needed. Work is performed under the direction and supervision of an assigned administrative superior.
Three years experience in a Mental Health setting required.
Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field or a Registered Nurse with BA or above education required.
Ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration upon hire. Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist is preferred.
Must be mental health professional in accordance with WAC 388-865-0150.
Current Washington Drivers License and reliable transportation required.
Salary Range $27.76 - $33.85 per hour
