Under the supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Diet Office Clerk assists in providing nutritional care to patients in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the medical center. The primary responsibilities of the Diet Office Clerk are to promote adequate nutritional care through appropriate correction and modification of patient menus, maintenance of nourishment and feeding kardex, updating of diet order sheet, and effective intra and inter departmental communication.
Experience in patient service preferred. Understanding of modified diets preferred. Excellent oral communication skills required. Use of computers preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience preferred. Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
