The Director of Clinical Education Services is a system-level role reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Human Potential. If selected, you’ll lead an award-winning education function for our rapidly expanding non-profit health system.
We’ll look for you to drive excellence in patient care through education programs that are timely, relevant, accessible and efficient. Your team of roughly 50 will include Clinical Educators, Systems Educators, Instructional Designers, Learning Coordinators and your management team. Your team’s focus will include new employee orientation, clinical education and systems education for over 12,000 current employees as well as new employees, agency staff and volunteers.
Our ideal candidate will be a clinical professional who can flow seamlessly between being a “strategic thinker” and an “operational leader”. If selected, Nurse Executives and other senior leaders will look for you to bring new insights and options. They’ll also expect a proven track record of measurable results and the ability to ensure our education programs meet or exceed regulatory standards. To do this, you’ll also need the ability to engage and develop your management team and employees.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master’s Degree preferred).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
Minimum 8 years professional level experience and mastery of professional or technical role/function
Senior-level performance improvement experience, preferably within a large healthcare system.
Project management experience, including highly visible, highly complex, large scale initiatives
Proven track record working in complex, multi-site organizations
Consulting experience (formal or informal) including managing client engagements, defining client needs, delivering value to the client, and presenting/reporting out.
RN license and experience preferred.
