Position Summary:
The Director of Payor Contracting is responsible for executing payer strategy, contract negotiations, contract performance and administration for MultiCare and each of its operating entities in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  The Director drives results for integrated care and payment models that align financial incentives to support quality outcomes, patient/ member satisfaction and cost effective care delivery. The Director develops and maintains payor relationships, and acts as the liaison between other internal operating units and external payors. The Director provides operational oversight of the Payor Contracting department including direct management of professional staff.  The incumbent, collaboratively with providers, Marketing, Strategic & Financial Planning, and other Revenue Cycle departments, assures successful results for MultiCare in an evolving payor relations market.

Minimum Requirements:
Eight (8) years of experience working with health care providers involving HMO/PPO health insurance contract management, development of contracting structures or coordinating  various aspects of a health care delivery system as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Five (5) years of progressively responsible managerial or supervisory experience

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s  degree in Administration, Health Care Administration, or Clinical Administration
