Position Summary:
The Director of MultiCare Health System's award-winning Stroke Program Quality Management, provides leadership and direction for MultiCare Health System's Stroke Program at Tacoma General, Allenmore, Good Samaritan and Auburn Hospitals. The management areas of focus are to promote the achievement of and continual quality standards of Stroke Center certification.  The areas of focus are stroke quality standards, stroke core measures and American Stroke Association Measures for comprehensive and primary stroke center. The Director actively participates in the assigned area of responsibility to assure that work meets standards, internal and external deadlines and established timeframes, progress is satisfactory in all aspects of the area of focus, and supports the Stroke Performance Improvement Plan.

Minimum Requirements:
Eight years of experience and mastery of professional role/function with at least three years in administration and/or clinical management in a neuroscience acute care setting
Five years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Current Washington State License as a registered nurse
Advanced Practice Nurses to be part of the Acute Stroke Team could include:
Bachelor’s degree in health care field required with specialty certification from American Board of Neuroscience Nurses as Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) or Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN)
Master’s degree in health care field preferred
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
Master’s Prepared Clinical Nurse Specialist
