Position Summary:
The Director of Volunteer Services is responsible for leading MultiCare’s Volunteer Services Department, the Celebrate Seniority Senior Member Services Program, and all gift shops system-wide.  The incumbent serves as the MHS leadership liaison to the Good Samaritan Auxiliary and Celebrate Seniority Advisory Council.  Responsibilities include oversight for program development, strategic/business planning, policy setting, budget planning and expense control, compliance management, retail strategy and management, community partnership creation/ management and human resources management of all assigned staff. The Director works in a highly collaborative manner with executives, directors/managers to identify issues and opportunities to increase patient satisfaction, employee engagement, reduce costs through utilization of volunteers and increase revenue through strategic retail planning and execution. The director is also responsible for creating and/or supporting collaborative community partnerships to support MHS strategic direction in population health.

Minimum Requirements:
Eight (8) years administrative experience with volunteers and volunteer boards for a large, complex organization required
Five (5) years experience in both a managerial and supervisory capacity
One (1) year related experience in fund development preferred

Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
