MultiCare Health Foundation in Western Washington is thriving with support of community organizations and donors that support the many programs that give back to the communities MultiCare support in the Puget Sound.  Our partners in the Spokane, WA deserve this same commitment, as a result of our growth we are launching a search for an Executive Director of for the MultiCare Health Foundation - East in Spokane.

This is an ideal opportunity for a leader with a strong history of regional philanthropic activity in a community that is excited to collaborate with a proven regional partner.  We’re looking for a leader to re-start a foundation that is established, who partners with community leaders on behalf of the foundation, while representing MultiCare’s values and commitment to establishing and building community health. Position Summary:
The Executive Director Foundation serves all market areas as a highly visible, enthusiastic and articulate leader of the MultiCare Health Foundation East Region responsible for building a culture of philanthropy, inspiring donors, and motivating staff/ physicians/ volunteers in philanthropic service. The incumbent by establishing both internal and external awareness programs about ongoing and future activities of the Foundation with assistance and support from Foundations of MultiCare administrative support staff. The Executive Director also initiates, organizes and directs comprehensive development of plans for the achievement of annual and long-range fund-raising objectives and financial goals typically 3 million+ per year; designs and actively cultivates major gift contributions for the MultiCare Health Foundation from related Board Members, employees, physician and physician groups, grateful patients/parents, vendors, auxiliary groups; oversees donor prospecting / cultivation / solicitation  and contributes to special campaigns for the community-at-large. The incumbent maintains full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission and goals of MultiCare and works closely with other Foundations of MultiCare staff members and Foundation Boards in a team approach to maintain the highest quality of fund raising to meet goals.

Minimum Requirements:
Eight (8) years professional experience in personal solicitation in fund-raising or like vocation such sales
Six (6) years of experience and demonstrated skills in progressive management roles
Proven track record securing new major gift level contributions from donor prospects and renewing and upgrading gifts from existing donors

Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or related discipline
Master's degree  preferred
Current Washington State Driver’s license: and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the State of Washington and use of an insured automobile for work purposes
