MultiCare Health System has openings for compassionate, customer oriented Support Service Housekeepers to assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of patient rooms, common areas and staff locations. The ideal candidate is flexible to a varied schedule, process orientated, familiar with housekeeping duties and a strong spirit of collaboration. This opportunity provides an entry into the healthcare system with the opportunity for growth within the organization. Pay starts at $14.05 per hour with an additional 15% pay in lieu of benefits. Positions are contracted union positions, dues and fees apply.
Housekeepers clean and maintain a sanitary, orderly and attractive patient care and public area by performing simple, repetitive cleaning tasks in assigned areas of the facility and hospital building areas. Responsible for arranging furniture, equipment and supplies in and around hospital departments, and performs a variety of housekeeping duties, including collection and disposal of hazardous wastes, distribution of linen to floors and set-up of meeting rooms.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions including ability to communicate clearly, read, write and be able to follow instructions. (On-the-job training is provided). Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member to accomplish organizational and departmental objectives while supporting a positive and respectful work environment and contribute to the organizational customer relations objectives.
High School Diploma or GED helpful
On-Call is a great opportunity for those looking for flexible hours as there are no set hours. Variable schedule/shifts, may include weekends.
