Position Summary:
The Instrument Coordinator is responsible for the efficient flow of instruments and equipment between multiple surgical sites inside and outside MultiCare Health System.  This role interfaces directly with the Central Service Department, Physicians and all members of the Surgical Services Team.  Duties include but are not limited to; the review of and coordination of required instrumentation for upcoming surgical cases, communicating and providing direct support to all surgical team members in order to ensure the availability of required surgical instrumentation, reordering of new/replacement surgical instrumentation, coordinating to loaning/borrowing of both owned and non-owned surgical sets & instrumentation, and assisting Service-Line Coordinators with the maintenance of preference cards,  

Minimum Requirements:
Four years experience in a surgical environment with emphasis on scrubbing all types of surgical cases to include the following specialty areas; Cardiovascular, General, GYN, Neuro, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Urology and Vascular.

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology. Certification preferred.
