Position Summary:
The Involuntary Treatment (IT) Court Facilitator works in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to perform clinical assessments and evaluations of patients admitted on a civil commitment system-wide for involuntary detention to a psychiatric facility. The IT Court Facilitator provides testimony and writes petitions recommending Restrictive Treatment for patients admitted on: initial detention orders and revocations of restrictive orders in compliance with the King County Superior Court rules.

Minimum Requirements:
Five (5) years recent experience working with acutely ill psychiatric patients specifically involving evaluation of psychiatric safety, level of function, psychiatric diagnoses and medications.
Three (3) years recent experience working in a hospital setting

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or Nursing required
Licensed as a psychologist, advanced registered nurse practitioner, or independent clinical social worker in the State of Washington

LICSW with CDP  strongly preferred;  in addition to court duties this position will support primary social work team and provide case management, group therapy and complex discharge planning,
