This position is responsible for coordination of change and release management, quality assurance (QA) testing and associated end user notifications for all Information Services & Technology system activities. Work situations require independent decision-making, problem solving, leadership, systems analysis, customer service skills, organization, public speaking skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Internal contacts require establishing rapport and working relationships with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. External contacts include vendor personnel and outside professional and healthcare organizations. The position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the IT change and release management processes as well as testing coordination and execution;which includes coordinating change and release management processes as well quality assurance activities, publish system maintenance communications, provide application administration of the IT service management tool as well being available for off-hour support managing communications related to the job functions as necessary. This position primarily provides risk management control to prevent unauthorized changes promoted to production systems and services which could result in unplanned system outages, deviation from standards or difficulty supporting day-to-day operations. This includes scheduling, coordinating and management of software releases, for multiple applications, through different stages and environments. In addition, this role will have quality assurance oversight to prevent mistakes or defects in changes promoted to production systems and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. This position is also responsible for communicating and coordinating environment and maintenance activities to customers and between technical and application teams.
Experience as a systems analyst for IT service management system preferred (Remedy, CA, ServiceNow, etc.)
Experience with an electronic medical record preferred
Clinical operations background is a plus
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject and two (2) years’ experience in enterprise IT change, release management or QA engineering for large scale applications
Five (5) years’ experience in enterprise IT change, release management or QA engineering for large scale applications
ITIL Foundations or Intermediate certification preferred
CSQE or CSQA certification preferred
