We are looking to add a dynamic Hospitalist Medical Director to our stellar team at Auburn Medical Center. The performance of this individual will affect all aspects of the delivery of patient care services. In conjunction with the hospital and nursing administrators, the Medical Director will provide the overall leadership and management necessary for the efficient operation of the hospitalist program.
Directing and managing all functions of the Auburn hospitalist medicine practice; to include both the clinical and non-clinical aspects as appropriate, providing direction and support for both the physicians and staff to perform efficiently in their area of responsibility. The position requires a critical and independent thinker, with sound judgment and decision making skills. They will be responsible for the current and future development of the hospitalist practice. A wide degree of creativity is expected. The position will interact and liaison with all individuals and departments within MHS that interface directly or indirectly with the hospitalist program.
- Licensed physician in the state of Washington
– Board certification in Internal Medicine
- DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
– Credentialed and member in good standing of Medical Staff at MHS
– Career interest and experience in hospital medicine and/or medical administration
– Prior administrative experience in hospital medicine preferred
