Will be accountable for performing laboratory testing following established policies/procedures; demonstrating safety, accuracy, appropriate technique, precision, good judgment, organization while meeting established productivity. Correlates laboratory findings with disease processes; integrates related data generated by the various laboratory departments; makes judgments regarding possible discrepancies and applies knowledge to achieve accurate test information which results in improved patient care. Cross trained to work in other laboratory sections and shifts, as necessary, as well as performs specimen processing as needed.
Minimum Requirements:None required, but applicants must be eligible for certification. One year experience preferred.
Education/Licenses/Certifications:Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, which includes completion of accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program.American Society for Clinical Patholog (ASCP): Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS). New graduates must be certified within the probationary period of six  months
