The Manager of Clinical Research Administration oversees the daily operations and staff that accomplishes the pre-award and post-award compliance and program requirements for all industry sponsored research trials within the Institute for Research and Innovation. The Manager ensures compliance to applicable federal and state laws, regulation and MHS/Institute policy regarding sponsored research award management. The Manager works collaboratively with other members of the leadership team to set department-wide goals and objectives, define team member roles and responsibilities across the post-award life cycle, and assess and track work load volume and complexity. The Manager manages the budgets and contracts processes with the goal of negotiating and optimizing budgets and contracts to maximize financial objectives for revenue, profit and cash flow. The Manager manages the Institutes business operations for industry awards to include financial reporting and forecasting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The incumbent works in conjunction with MIRI leadership to facilitate ongoing relationship development and to promote increased research within MHS.
Five (5) years of experience in clinical research industry
Two (2) years of experience with clinical research administration and accounting preferred
Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
Bachelors degree in a business or medical/clinical field required
Masters degree in Business or medical/clinical field preferred
