The Manager Data Governance is responsible for overseeing, managing, and implementing the Data Governance function at MultiCare Health System. This individual is the key influencer and champion for Data Governance and will develop, implement, continually refine, and own the Data Governance function. This individual works with senior leaders, data stewards, data architects, business stakeholders and clinical analysts to align data and information needs to support organizational goals. Develops policies and procedures in support of data governance and alignment and implement a framework to measure data quality, adherence to data guidelines, and data completeness. This role is also responsible for implementing master data management (MDM) tools and other applications in support of our enterprise data governance function. In addition to working with key leaders, this role is be responsible for the coordination of key initiatives and activities with the Knowledge Management Operations & Knowledge Management Executive Council.
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with a proven track record performing in the data management, enterprise intelligence, data quality, or technology space
3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
Expert knowledge of industry-standard data governance frameworks and their practical application.
Experience implementing data governance, data standards, and data policies
Experience implementing governance structures, internal standards, and quality control testing
Experience with implementing metadata and master data management platforms and business maintenance processes.
BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS Business or other related engineering or technical field; an additional 4 yrs experience in lieu of degree will be considered
