Position Summary:
This is a full time Sleep Technologist who is responsible for a variety of Home Sleep Test devices, including patient education, demonstration of device set-up to patients, maintaining equipment supplies ordering, monthly department statistics, QA data tracking for multiple service locations, such as Tacoma General, Good Samaritan, AMC, GH for patients needing Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT).  This individual is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology and performing and scoring diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnography in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies and procedures. This is a technical position functioning independently with limited supervision.  Work situations require extensive knowledge and the application of advanced expertise in the field of sleep disorders, and sound clinical judgments, actions, and decision making regarding unusual patient behavior, i.e. seizure activity, life threatening cardiac and respiratory abnormalities. This position may involve responsibility of being the lead for the HSAT program which involves monthly reporting of QA, failure rate, statistical data, ability to adjust flexible hours and traveling to various site locations in response to work demands to meet growth expansion.

Minimum Requirements:
1. One-year fulltime polysomnographic technology experience
2. Proficiency in scoring PSG, and HSAT
3. PC and MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
4. Previous HSAT experience preferred with emphasis on sleep patient education

Must be RPSGT with CPR Certification.
