The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic procedures. Work situations are a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity in order to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Additionally this position requires a highly collaborative approach to services in a clinic environment. Other responsibilities include phlebotomy, point of care testing, and general clinic assistance.
Works under indirect supervision performing radiologic procedures of a technical nature. Work situations are a variety of routine and re-occurring functions which require strong customer service skills, the use of discretion and good judgment, and attention to detail. Internal contacts are primarily within the work group. External contacts include patients, families, and physicians.

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Certification with the State of Washington
Expected to complete MHS-provided phlebotomy and POCT testing and submit for MA-P within their first year of employment
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
