Daily operation in pre-registration, scheduling and registration of outpatient, observation, inpatient and ED; Collection of accurate demographic information; Collection of correct insurance information for proper billing; Use of insurance management tools; Obtain correct insurance benefits (co-pays, deductibles, pre-certification, referrals and authorizations); Refer patients to financial patient advocate for charity care and other assistance; Time management of patient flow; Self-motivation and professionalism; Excellent Communication skills; Department and House wide phone calls; Appropriate documentation as related to patient accounts; Perform limited order entry; After probationary period, may train new employees; Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and cultural needs of the patient served on his/her assigned locations with the upmost customer service providing a positive patient experience; Perform related duties as required.
Hospital registration or Medical office experience preferred
A high school diploma or GED is required
