The Alliance for South Sound Health (a joint venture of CHI Franciscan Health and Multicare Health System) has been granted approval to build and operate a new behavioral health hospital in Tacoma, WA. We are seeking a HR Director to support this exciting joint venture!
Provides full spectrum strategic and administrative direction for all functional areas of Human Resources including employee relations, labor relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting and organizational development. Provides counsel and direction to executive leadership, management and staff regarding a broad range of human resource management issues which require the application of judgment in the analysis of human resource and operational relationships. Resolves sensitive, complex, or critical human resource issues having broad potential impact that may involve competing interests, multiple employees, conflicting rules or practices, a range of possible solutions or other elements that contribute to complexity. Provides advice, interpretation and counsel to leadership, management and staff regarding human resources policies and procedures in areas such as employee relations, performance management, grievance resolution, reasonable accommodation, staff reduction, in accordance with THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HOSPITAL goals and initiatives. Oversee the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services, including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, benefits, employee relations, compensation, education/training, payroll, employment practices and procedures, employee communications and employee events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, business administration or a related field, Master’s degree preferred, plus five years of recent, progressively responsible HR experience working as an Human Resource Manager, employee relations specialist or in applicable management-level capacity that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities and two years in a lead or supervisory position required. Recent experience in a large physician practice setting or other healthcare environment required, HR department development in a start-up company is strongly preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities may be substituted for two years of the degree requirement.
•SPHR or equivalent certification is required.
