Position Summary:
The Trainer for Triage & Transfer Center/Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for conducting needs assessments and performance improvement activities in order to achieve a high level of both quality and efficiency.  This is a professional position working under limited supervision and requires communication, presentation and coaching skills, organization, computer skills, independent-thinking, discretion, sound judgment, diplomacy, and decision making within the scope of the position responsibilities. This position prepares, facilitates, monitors, evaluates and documents training activities for the Triage and Transfer Center Staff; ensures training aids/manuals/handbooks are maintained and functional; conducts new hire and continuing education training;  and coordinates logistics and record keeping of training activities. This position is responsible for creating, maintaining and revising training material for Triage and Transfer Center in Multicare Health System. Major decisions require the review and approval of the Triage and Transfer Manager

Minimum Requirements:
Three (3) years recent triage experience
Experience with automated information systems and computer software applications including data entry and retrieval
Experience in a leadership and/or coaching position

Bachelor’s degree;  or Associate’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience may be substituted
Licensed as a RN in the state of Washington
CPR certification
