Exec Dir-Enterprise PMO
The Executive Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) serves as a strategic partner to Executive teams providing high level consultative support, while helping to manage the execution of high-priority strategic initiatives. This role leads both the execution and strategic measurement of all strategic initiatives within the portfolio to assure controlled, consistent, and disciplined execution of projects across business and technical areas. The portfolio consists of highly complex, large scale, corporate programs is comprised of multiple strategic programs and projects that have a significant strategic impact. The Executive Director works with leadership across the enterprise, providing cross-functional guidance by developing and implementing standards for monitoring, tracking and reporting the status of high priority and strategic projects, and recommending appropriate courses of action, strategies and/or alternatives in order to meet business needs. The Executive Director has responsibility for monitoring and helping to manage all aspects of key strategic projects including planning, coordination, development, implementation, and reporting - while also making recommendations on the coordination and prioritization of work, resources, and time. The Executive Director establishes the management and reporting systems and maintains critical third party relationships to delivery multiple, significant projects simultaneously. Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management. This position interacts regularly with internal customers to ensure quality goals and objectives are established and achieved and implements action plans to correct variances. The Executive Director will lead, facilitate, or support teams, and use project and change management principles to successfully navigate MultiCare’s portfolio. This person will work closely with executives on all aspects of the business, leading where needed and assist with execution across the organization. The Executive Director, EPMO, provides thought leadership and project portfolio level reporting to the Executive Leadership team.
15+ years of prior Project/Program Management leadership in large scale, fast paced environments, with at least 8 years as a top E/PMO leader.
Proven project management, planning and execution skills
Proven track record working with C-level executives, smart, entrepreneurial leaders, both as a facilitator and as a contributor with a point of view
Process improvement work experiences such as lean or six sigma as preferred
Project management certification strongly preferred
Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Hospital Administration, or related field OR CPA required
Certification in the following disciplines are preferred:
Lean Six Sigma
Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)
Agile Methodology Certification (i.e. CSM)
ProSci / Change Management
